The program is actually developed just by me until a basic skeleton for every game characteristic is done (to keep design consistent).
This game will be open source and not meant to be in competition with other versions available.
The game is written in Java with the aid of Processing to handle the all the graphics. Some of the purposes are:
- to just alter parameters (units specifications and similar etc.)
- keep the engine easily modifiable to alter gameplay (tweak or add skills) etc.)
- a simple and functional interface to the gameplay to allow easy AI prototyping
